Definitions:
Hosting:
The amount of space you require to store your video content on our servers measured in GB.
Streaming Credit: The amount of Bandwidth you will need to stream your video content to your viewers measured in GB.
Charges:
These are made up of two parts:
Monthly Hosting Plan:
Charged on a subscription basis in advance. It Includes 10GB of Streaming Credit (Bandwidth) each month. Monthly subscriptions are from the first till the last day of a month. First months subscription cost is pro-rated. You can Upgrade at any time, but you can only downgrade at the end of the month. You can increase the size of your Plan when you want or you can set it to automatically upgrade for you. This option prevents you from exceeding your current limit.
Streaming Credit:
We require you to purchase Streaming Credit in advance. Purchase it as you need or you can set it to automatically upgrade for you to insure that your streams are never cut off due of the lack of credit on your account. Our streaming credit works on a on a Roll-Over basis.
Guidance:
Hosting:
The file size of encoded video is determined by the duration and the bit rate that you encode it in. The higher the bit rate the better the quality. (700Kbps = high, 450Kbps = Average, 250Kbps = Low). As a guide, a video encoded at 300 Kbps takes up approx 270MB per hour.
Streaming:
The amount of streaming you will use is dependant on the number of viewers you have watching, multiplied by the encoding rate. As a guide, a video that was encoded at 300Kbps uses approx. 130MB per viewer watching per hour, and one that is encoded at 500Kbps uses approx 220MB.
