Webcast - August 08th – 10th

The 34th Indmar Marine Engines Division 1 Show Ski National Championships will be held Aug. 8-10 at Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. The tournament will feature more than 1,500 athletes competing for the coveted show ski national title. The Show Ski National Championships is a spectacular event with thrilling shows the whole family will enjoy.

In competitive show skiing, each club has one hour to present a theatrical performance on water skis. Judges score the acts by awarding points based on execution, difficulty, spectator appeal and flow. Elaborate costumes and staging intermix with music and fast action on the water as an announcer leads the audience through the show. The Show Ski National Championships also features athletes competing individually in adagio doubles, swivel and multi-jumping acts.

Fourteen show ski clubs will be competing in this year's tournament, which is expected to draw 10,000 spectators. Team competition will begin on Saturday, Aug. 9, and finish on Sunday, Aug. 10.

Last year, the Mad City Ski Team from Madison, Wis., won the national title for the third time in the past four years.
This is the first time that the whole event has been Webcast Live. In the past it has only been available on national television in the form of half hour shows.

The National Show Ski Association is one of nine sport disciplines of USA Water Ski, which was formed in 1939 as a non-profit organization promoting water skiing in the United States.
